ESPN to Tee Off of 15 Platforms for U.S. Open Golf Coverage

ESPN will provide coverage of the 2008 U.S. Open Championship across 15 multimedia platforms, including ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN HD, ESPN Classic, ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS, ESPN International, ESPN.com, ESPN360.com, ESPNDeportes.com, ESPN Radio, ESPN VOD, Interactive Television, and ESPN Mobile TV.

ESPN will televise 14 hours of the first two rounds of the golf championship live in the U.S. and ESPN Deportes in the U.S. will provide more than nine hours of the first two rounds live, while ESPN International will televise the first two rounds to viewers in Latin America, Canada, Asia, Israel, the Middle East and North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

ESPN VOD  will offer highlights from previous Open Championships, as well as recaps and highlights from each current round.

ESPN Radio will air a special Wednesday, June 11 preview and Mike Tirico will host his radio show from Torrey Pines, the Open site, on Thursday, June 12.

SportsCenter updates on the Open will air hourly on ESPN Radio.

ESPN.com will offer columns of coverage from ESPN writers, an interactive leaderboard and live scores, video highlights and other content, live chats, polling and podcasts.

ESPN Mobile will offer live video streaming of the first two rounds and ESPN360.com will also offer a leaderboard, video following selected golfers and in-depth content.

Through ITV the first two rounds will also be available via DirecTV and Dish Network.
