Fox presented its midseason schedule on the second day of the broadcast portion of the 2011 Television Critics Association winter meeting. The network’s entertainment chairman Peter Rice and entertainment president Kevin Reilly were on hand to talk to critics and reporters. Not surprisingly, most of the chatter surrounded the 10th season premiere of the blockbuster reality show American Idol.
But along with Idol’s return, the News Corp.–owned network also is launching four new series. AdweekMedia’s Marc Berman and Alan Frutkin discuss the new shows and examine Fox’s standing midway through the 2010-11 TV season.
