Saatchi & Saatchi is changing CEOs in New York again, after just 14 months. CEO Durk Barnhill is being replaced by Brent Smart, a worldwide managing director on General Mills, a key agency account.
The New York office of Saatchi & Saatchi is getting a new CEO. Durk Barnhill, president of Taxi, New York, replaces Mary Baglivo, who has held the role since October 2004. Barnhill, 46, starts in September and will report to worldwide CEO Kevin Roberts.
Saatchi & Saatchi shifted a top creative player to its New York headquarters and expanded the role of its strategic planning chief. New York chief strategy officer Claudine Cheever added responsibility for Latin America and Canada while worldwide digital cd Tom Eslinger left the shop’s London office to steer integrated production in New York.
