Havas Worldwide has plucked an executive from the digital agency world to lead new business efforts in the U.S. Laura Maness most recently was an svp in charge of business development and marketing at Propane Studio in San Francisco. At Havas, she takes the title of U.S. chief growth officer, a new position.
Chris Hayes is getting back to his digital roots. Less than two years after joining Young & Rubicam in a business development role, Hayes is leaving to become a global managing director at Huge in Brooklyn, N.Y. At his new shop, he’ll continue to focus on new business efforts. He starts July 2 and will report to CEO Aaron Shapiro.
DDB is seeking a new business development chief amid the exit of Brandon Snow, which leaves open a critical position at the Omnicom Group agency. Snow, who assumed the role of U.S. director of business development in August 2008, is returning to his former employer, the National Basketball Association.
