Drama may be king on ad-supported cable, but that doesn’t mean all cable networks are bypassing comedy. FX, for example, is set to launch the fourth season of edgy sitcom It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on Thursday, Sept. 18 at 10 p.m.

And the folks who work on Sunny already know this fall season won’t be their last. In a strong show of support for the series, FX president and GM John Landgraf announced earlier this summer that the network had picked up 39 more episodes of the series.
