Soaking rain over Philadelphia brought Game 5 of the 2008 World Series to a halt, as officials elected to suspend the 2-2 contest in the middle of the sixth inning. Play will resume on Wednesday.

The Rays and Phillies were tentatively slated to pick up where they left off tonight (Oct. 28), but with rain continuing to fall on Southeastern Pennsylvania, Major League Baseball now says that play will start up again tomorrow at 8:37 p.m.
