TNT's Thursday Hoops Dunks Ratings

TNT is on a record-setting pace with its Thursday night National Basketball Association coverage, as deliveries are up 25 percent versus the year-ago period.

Through its first 14 NBA telecasts of the 2009-10 season, TNT is averaging 1.97 million total viewers, up from 1.57 million a year ago.

Demos are also up significantly. Season-to-date, TNT is averaging 1.1 million viewers 18-49 (up 19 percent versus a year ago), 978,000 adults 25-54 (up 21 percent) and 789,000 men 18-49 (up 23 percent).

Prior to Thanksgiving’s doubleheader, TNT was delivering 2.3 million viewers per game. The network’s Turkey Day two-fer drew lower-than-expected crowds, as the Magic-Hawks game delivered 1.27 million viewers and the late Bulls-Jazz nightcap served up just 927,000 viewers between 10:44 p.m. and 1:16 a.m. EST.

On Thursday, Dec. 10, the NBA on TNT returns with the 8 p.m. Celtics-Wizards tilt, followed by Orlando-Utah (approximately 10:30 p.m.).
