Solid Ratings for SyFy's 'Warehouse,' ABC Family's '10 Things'

Tuesday night gave rise to a pair of cable series premieres, as the newly refurbished SyFy took the wraps off Warehouse 13, and ABC Family bowed 10 Things I Hate About You.

Both new shows enjoyed solid sampling, as Warehouse 13 averaged 3.5 million viewers in the 9 p.m.-11 p.m. time slot, while 10 Things drew 1.6 million viewers from 8 p.m. to 8:36 p.m., per Nielsen live-plus-same-day ratings data.  

Warehouse 13 now stands as the third most-watched series premiere in SyFy/Sci Fi Channel history, trailing only Stargate Atlantis, which drew 4.19 million viewers with its July 16, 2004, opener, and Eureka (4.05 million on July 18, 2006). That said, time-shifted viewing could very well push the new show to the top of the list.

While 10 Things didn’t draw a massive audience, the premiere did quite well among its target demos. The new ABC Family strip was Tuesday night’s most-watched show––on broadcast or cable––among female teens, and it was the top scripted effort in prime time among women 18-34 (396,000) and 12-24 (762,000).
