Perhaps with the exception of Law & Order: Los Angeles, NBC’s Outsourced may be performing the best of all the network’s new shows.

On its premiere broadcast Sept. 23, the India-set workplace comedy attracted about 7.5 million viewers and a 3.6/10 among 18-49 viewers. The following week, it drew 5.9 million viewers and a 2.8/8 among 18-49 viewers.

Executive producer Ken Kwapis, perhaps best known as an A-list TV comedy director (The Office, Malcolm in the Middle), talked with Mediaweek’s Alan Frutkin about the new series.
