What’s the first information you consume in the morning?
My homepage is just the Yahoo homepage, so I’ll look at the headlines there and then go to the sports page. I’m kind of a sports dork. I’ve always been a huge baseball, football and basketball fan—Oakland A’s, Oakland Raiders and L.A. Clippers.

What do you read, watch or listen to at the breakfast table?
All of the above, and then I might hop over to ESPN for some different sports coverage. I also like Box Office Mojo and this site called GreenPlastic.com—I’m a Radiohead fan. Sometimes I’ll just go to Ticketmaster and pop in names like Helen Reddy, who I’ve always wanted to see in concert. Or Neil Diamond, but I’ve already seen him.

What occupies your mind in the car, on the subway, train or bus?
I’ll listen to sports talk radio, like Jim Rome’s show and Loose Cannons. One of my favorite things is to listen to conservative talk radio. I’m a lefty liberal, but I love getting all fired up by listening to the opposite side.

Are you a TV junkie or on an airtime-restricted diet? What do you watch?
I’m a TV junkie, but I don’t take enough advantage of my DVR. Most of my favorite shows I’ve only seen five or six times. The only show that I’ve seen all the way through is Breaking Bad. I’m behind on Mad Men, and I’m still behind on Lost—I haven’t watched the final season and a half. And I have two seasons of Charles in Charge to catch up on, so do not tell me how that ends.

Do you watch any late-night shows?
I love Fallon, I love Conan and Letterman was a huge influence on my comedy career. I got to write for him when I was first starting out. And there’s a new show coming out called Comedy Bang! Bang! on IFC that I got to be a part of. It’ll be on with Portlandia, which is so great. Fred [Armisen] and I came to SNL together, and I’ve always felt a real bond with him.

Give us the skinny on your favorite app.
I know this is a real simple app, but just the regular iPhone map. I had a guy come pick me up the other day. He was using the Thomas Guide, and it just made me remember what it used to be like to have no idea where you’re going and have to pull over to gas stations. By the way, I’m really excited that I mentioned that I get driven around occasionally. That’s right—sometimes I don’t drive myself! Sometimes people pick me up! It’s all stretch limousines for Will Forte!

What’s your biggest digital indulgence?
You know, I’m a very simple man—I was joking about the limousine. I don’t buy a lot of things, but every once in awhile, I go on monster iTunes shopping sprees. My mom is here saying in the background that I’m a “cluster shopper”—I go into hibernation and then go out and buy in clusters. I didn’t even know that about myself.
