FX Renews Improv Series The League

FX is throwing down for a second season of its improv comedy series The League, ordering an additional run of 13 episodes.

The sophomore season will kick off in the third quarter of 2010, said Nick Grad, executive vp of original programming, FX Networks.

Through its first five episodes, The League is averaging 1.06 million total viewers and 863,000 adults 18-49. Episode five (Dec. 3) was the most-watched of the bunch, drawing 1.68 million viewers in a three-run cume––a 69 percent improvement over the Oct.
