Fox Soccer Channel Reups Italy’s Serie A

Fox Soccer Channel has renewed its deal with Italy’s premiere Lega Calcio division, Serie A, extending its broadcast rights through the 2011-12 season.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Under the new agreement, Fox Soccer Channel will carry three live Serie A matches each weekend, plus the odd mid-week game. Sibling net Fox Sports en Español will run at least three live matches per week over the course of the 10-month season, while premium service Fox Soccer Plus will offer two exclusive weekend matches.
