Betty Ellen Berlamino, president and general manager of WPIX, Tribune’s CW affiliate in New York, was sent packing Monday (June 7), according to several reports. Jerry Kersting, president of Tribune Broadcasting will manage the station until a new general manager is hired.
Kersting told staffers in a memo that it was time to make a change.
Berlamino wasn’t the only one exiting the station. Tribune declined to renew anchor Jim Watkins’ contract. Watkins anchored the 6:30 p.m.
