El Cucuy, a.k.a. Renan Almendarez Coello, the Hispanic radio personality who sat on top of the ratings in Los Angeles, has returned to radio on a station in Albuquerque. Beginning Tuesday (June 1), El Cucuy will host mornings on KKNS-FM La Ley and 1310 AM, a low-rated Regional Mexican station owned by El Camino Communications.

El Cucuy signed off KLAX-FM owned by Spanish Broadcasting System in Sept. 2008, after scoring the top ratings spot in Los Angeles for 24 consecutive Arbitron surveys.
