PlayStation 3 owners, are you ready for some football? DirecTV will now offer its NFL Sunday Ticket To-Go access on a host of new devices, including the PlayStation 3, the Motorola Xoom, and Samsung Galaxy tablets.
The satellite TV provider is offering its expansive NFL coverage, 14 games each Sunday, to those who don’t subscribe to their dish service. For a flat $339.95, $5 more than it costs subscribers, PS3 owners without DirecTV can get access to the NFL Sunday Ticket. If PS3 owners already have the Sunday Ticket on their televisions, the add-on is an additional $50 to turn their other devices into football-viewing outlets.
The initiative is aimed at those who may not be inclined to make the full commitment to DirecTV. However, the satellite TV provider is also offering its Sunday Ticket for free to new DirecTV subscribers. To sweeten the deal overall, DirecTV is rolling out "a new four-channel mix with larger cells for those late afternoon games, and integration with NFL.com Fantasy Football that lets viewers keep up with their scores and players right on the TV," according to engadget.
