Sources Say Venerable Electronics Firm Set to Spend $20 Mil.
CHICAGO–Zenith Electronics, coming out of bankruptcy under new Korean ownership, is considering shops for an estimated $20 million ad account in an effort to rejuvenate the venerable brand, sources said.
The search is down to two Chicago shops, Cramer-Krasselt and Laughlin/Constable, according to sources. Officials at both agencies declined to comment on the review.
A representative for the Glenview, Ill., company said that the review was only in a formative stage.
“We are thinking about starting an ad agency search at the moment,” said John Taylor of Zenith.
