Y&R's Wyville to Jump to Fallon

CHICAGO Young & Rubicam creative director Jon Wyville is set to join Fallon as a group creative director.

Wyville, 39, who has been working in Y&R's Chicago office for the past three years, will start at the Minneapolis agency on Feb. 9.

"It's been great here (at Y&R), it just seems like career-wise this was the next logical step," Wyville said.

During his stint at Y&R, Wyville created ads for Nascar, Sears Roebuck and Co. and Miller Brewing Co. He was the creative director on the recent "Dominoes" spot for the Milwaukee brewer's new "Good call" campaign. Wyville was one of six creative directors at the shop. His partner, creative director/copywriter David Loew, is staying with Y&R.

Wyville worked at the former McConnaughy Stein Schmidt Brown in Chicago and Pagano Schenk & Kay in Boston before a brief stint at the now-shuttered Arian, Lowe & Travis in Chicago

At Fallon, Wyville will report to Minneapolis creative director Bruce Bildsten. It was undetermined what accounts Wyville would work on, according to agency representative.

"Jon is someone we've been hoping we could get to Fallon for a long time," said Bildsten in a statement. "His start in advertising as a broadcast producer makes him so good at crafting television, as can be seen from his recent Miller and Nascar work."

Fallon has been looking to replenish its group creative director ranks. Last week, two former Fallon group creative directors, Michael Hart and Chris Lange, left to form their own agency, mono, in Minneapolis.
