CHICAGO Sullivan Higdon & Sink was named lead agency for WxWorx, a forecasting company that is teaming with XM Satellite Radio to provide real-time weather reports for the aviation, maritime and emergency response markets.

The agency, which has offices in Wichita, Kan., and Kansas City, Mo., will work with the Huntsville, Ala., client on its national launch. The assignment will involve advertising, media relations and external communications. The shop, which handles Cessna Aircraft and B/E Aerospace, will use its avionics expertise to help introduce WxWorx.

"With an agency full of aviation and marine enthusiasts, SHS knows how important the weather is to those who operate aircraft, marine vessels or any other mode of transportation," said shop managing partner Tom Bertels in a statement.

WxWorx (Weather Works) is an affiliate of Baron Services, which provides real-time weather information to the broadcast and emergency management industries. Billings were not disclosed.
