Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG is rehiring former creative executive Paul Wolfe.
Wolfe is returning to the New York shop after a three-year stint as executive creative director at Foote Cone & Belding's San Francisco office. Wolfe joined FCB from Messner, where he was a partner, in 1995.
The move reunites Wolfe and Messner partner Michael Lee. The two, who created the award-winning "Gramercy Press" ads for MCI in 1995, will serve as group creative directors for clients such as Volvo, Dunkin' Donuts, New Balance and International Paper.
Wolfe and Lee's group will also work on the agency's new Intel business, according to partner and creative director Ron Berger. Messner shares ad duties with lead Intel agency Euro RSCG DSW Partners in Salt Lake City and San Francisco.
"I'm glad to be back at one of the most admired agencies in this business," Wolfe said. "I look forward to being an important part of a great future."
Messner is scheduled to break its first Intel work by late summer. Wolfe said he will split his time on the Intel business between Messner in New York and DSW in San Francisco.
"This new partnership with DSW has been about a year in the making," said Bob Schmetterer, agency partner, chairman and chief executive officer of Euro RSCG. "Intel wants to have enough creative resources on hand, and they seized the opportunity to add a second agency within the same network [as DSW]."
The two shops will share ad duties for Intel on a "project-by-project" basis, Schmetterer added.
