Says Louisville Shop Is in ‘Ideal Position to Grow Dramatically’
ATLANTA–Bob Welke’s task upon joining Euro RSCG Tatham four years ago was to reshape a tired creative product and add some verve to the agency. Disagreement on whether he succeeded was among the reasons he left the Chicago agency in March.
Now Welke’s getting another chance to recreate a shop’s image: the Creative Alliance in Louisville, Ky., which does not have a reputation for making creative a priority.
“In order for Creative Alliance to get to the next level, it’s going to need to be a creative force; and [CEO Debbie Scoppechio] is going to have to empower people to make the product better, and I’m going to have to work with her closely to learn her clients,” Welke said.
“We both are going to have to make some concessions to our styles,” he said.
