Verizon Wireless has yet another review in the works.

The client sent requests for proposals to about 20 agencies in the West, Midwest and Southwest for its $40 million Northwest regional retail-advertising account, sources said.

Agencies in the client’s 14-state Northwest region—from St. Louis to Seattle—received RFPs from Atlanta consultancy Wanamaker. Texas shops were also contacted, sources said.

According to the RFP cover letter, “This is a short notice, nights and weekends client,” with promotional, price-focused ads “to fit within existing guidelines.”

Incumbent Campbell Mithun in Minneapolis will likely defend the business, though a CM official said no decision had been made.
