Performing difficult tricks may gain skaters and cyclists a reputation as stuntmen, but McElroy:FCB is attempting to show the human side of athletes sponsored by Vans.

The footwear and apparel maker’s new $10 million-plus TV and print campaign is by no means short on stunts. Skater Geoff Rowley jumps 14 feet across the concrete Santa Ana River bed; BMX biker Cory “Nasty” Nastazio completes a double back flip on dirt jumps; Jeremy McGrath performs a moto cross jump.
