The U.S. Virgin Islands this week will appoint Ogilvy & Mather agency for its $6 million business, said sources.
Islands commissioner of tourism Mike Bornn said a cut had been made to five shops he would not disclose. A formal announcement will be made Wednesday.
According to sources, four of those finalists are Ogilvy in Atlanta; Enten Associates, Rockville, Md.; Eisner Communications, Baltimore; New York incumbent Lowe & Partners; plus an unnamed agency.
Sources said the U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism had made its decision, pending approval of the territory’s division of property and procurement.
Ogilvy managing director Ian Lathem did not return phone calls by press time.
