ATLANTA Davis & Company said it has been chosen by the National Soft Drink Association to direct an advertising and public relations campaign encouraging recycling.
The effort, primarily focused on soda bottles and cans, will be launched in test markets in Pittsburgh and Hampton Roads, Va., this spring. Following the six-month trial, the association will assess options for a national rollout of the campaign.
According to the Virginia Beach, Va., shop, it won the account following agency presentations made to a committee of NSDA representatives at the group's headquarters in Washington, D.C.
"The client gave the competing agencies a specific creative platform," said Brantley Davis, agency executive vice president. "I think consumers are going to find it both informative and fun."
