NEW YORK Interpublic Group’s Universal McCann has tapped Rob Frydlewicz as svp, director of media research. He replaces Susan Nathan, a 16-year UM veteran who left the agency in August for a post at Turner Broadcasting System.

Frydlewicz was previously vp, media research director at Aegis Group’s Carat, a post he departed 18 months ago to set up his own consultancy. His clients included MRI, Nielsen’s Project Apollo and the Council for Better Business Bureaus.

Prior to Carat, he was director of research at FCB in New York and earlier held posts at N.W.
