Bates USA and Publicis/Bloom, both in New York, have advanced to the final round in the review for the creative portion of CVS’ ad account, sources said.
Ingalls Advertising in Boston had handled both creative and media duties for the Woonsocket, R.I., drug store chain. The incumbent did not participate in the competition for the media portion of the account but did make a presentation to retain creative responsibilities. Ingalls failed to move into the finals, sources said.
CVS representative Fred McGrail declined to comment on the status of the creative competition or give a timetable for its completion.
CVS’ media buying and planning was moved to TBS Media Management in New York several weeks ago.
