DALLAS Interpublic Group's TM Advertising captured best of show honors in print and TV advertising, winning 27 of 99 awards handed out at the Dallas Addy competition, the agency said.
The winning national TV entry was TM's "Life comes at you fast" campaign for Nationwide Insurance. A new campaign for American Airlines won best of show in the print category, the agency said.
Best of show in radio advertising went to Dallas independent The Richards Group's spot for QuikTrip. Square One, a Dallas independent, won best of TV with a spot for R.H. Donnelly.
More than 400 entries were submitted in the competition, with the awards presented Thursday night.
Joseph Farrell of Tribune Interactive, Armando Hernandez of Marca Hispanic, Ann Hayden of Young & Rubicam, Don Pogany of DDB and Joe Shands of TBWA\Chiat\Day were the judges for this year's Dallas Addy Awards.
The gold and silver winners will move on to the district competition to be judged in March. Winners of that competition will be announced on April 15 at the District 10 Awards Show in San Antonio.
At the Austin, Texas, Addys, independent McGarrah/Jessee won 32 awards presented by the local chapter of the American Advertising Federation. M/G won awards in 16 categories, ranging from interactive media to television.
Addys will be presented in Houston and San Antonio Saturday night.
