Tierney Steps Down as CEO

NEW YORK — Brian Tierney, 44, founder of Tierney Communications, will relinquish his president and CEO titles, effective April 15, and take on the new role of founder/chairman, the Philadelphia communications agency said.

Three executives will take over his president and CEO duties. Scott Franks, 49, currently evp, chief operating officer of Tierney Advertising, will become CEO of Tierney Communications. Mary Stengel Austen, currently evp and general manager of Tierney Public Relations, will become president of Tierney Communications.
