A week after awarding its media planning and buying, Chupa Chups USA has cut the list of shops in its creative review from 16 to seven.
Sources said agencies surviving the cut were incumbent Lois/EJL, Chicago; The Richards Group, Dallas; GSD&M, Austin, Texas; Fallon McElligott and Weiss Stagliano Partners, both New York; Crispin Porter & Bogusky, Miami; and Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners West, San Francisco
Presentations will take place the second week of December, with a decision expected shortly thereafter.
Greg McCormick, vice president and general manager of Chupa Chups USA in Atlanta, did not return calls concerning the review.
Among the agencies eliminated from contention were Match, Atlanta; Ground Zero, Santa Monica, Calif.;
