Former Doner executive Scott Rasmussen has joined Temerlin McClain as group creative director.
Rasmussen, 42, becomes one of only two executives to hold the position at the Irving, Texas-based agency, the largest in the Southwest. He will oversee creative work on the GTE, Adams Golf and Bell Helicopter accounts.
Rasmussen was previously executive vice president and creative director of Doner in Baltimore. His client list there included Sylvan Learning Center, ADT, Bally Total Fitness, Bell Atlantic, Mobil, Prudential Healthcare, Coverna Life Insurance and National Car Rental.
In addition to supervising the creative department at Doner, Rasmussen also served as executive vice president and creative director at Doner Direct, the agency's direct marketing division.
His move from Doner Direct in 1998 to handling creative both there and at the parent shop coincided with Doner's reorganization as a "brand response" agency with a direct marketing focus.
"We're very pleased to add this terrific new talent to our agency," said Dennis McClain, chief executive officer at Temerlin. "Scott shares our vision for integrated marketing and our continued goal to be a critical player in the data, digital and direct arenas."
Temerlin McClain ranks first in the Southwest with $78 million in revenue.
