NEW YORK Lowe has promoted director of client services Sal Taibi to president of its New York office, the Interpublic Group agency said.

In his new role, Taibi reports to both New York CEO Susan Cantor and Mark Wnek, the office’s chairman and chief creative officer.

Taibi’s ascension comes as Lowe seeks to rebound from a series of 2005 client losses (including Century 21, A&P and Wisk) and as the shop defends its $15-20 million MassMutual account, which launched a review this month.
