LOS ANGELES The appointment of Marvin Davis yesterday as svp of marketing for Comcast could delay the selection of an agency to handle the client’s creative duties, sources said.

Over the next few weeks, Davis will visit the three remaining agencies vying for the Philadelphia-based client’s business before a final decision is made, sources said.

Billings on the business in play are undisclosed. The client all told spent close to $180 million through the first 10 months of 2004, per TNS Media Intelligence/CMR.
