The Los Angeles Times has promoted Mickie Sullivan to director of motion picture advertising from her previous position as department manager. In her new role, Sullivan will lead a team of representatives from the Tribune Company-owned newspaper’s sales, marketing, promotions, creative and customer-service divisions in the development of new movie-release marketing initiatives and resources. Sullivan, who joined Los Angeles-based L.A. Times‘ finance department in 1978, has been with its motion pictures ad unit since 2000.
