Stewart in Charge of Media Lions Judging

NEW YORK Mark Stewart will be the 2005 Media Lions Jury chair at the International Advertising Festival, the organization said today.

Stewart, an Australian native, is executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Universal McCann in New York. He joined Universal McCann in 1995 as media director, working on all New York accounts. In 1997, he was named North American media director.

Prior to joining Universal McCann, Stewart founded Media First International. Before that, he worked at J. Walter Thompson in New York and Australia.

Previously named Cannes jury chairs include Fred Koblinger, chief executive officer of BBDO Holding Austria in Vienna, who will serve as Lions Direct jury president; P.J. Pereira, vice president and creative director of AgenciaClick in Sao Paulo, Brazil, who will head the Cyber Lions panel, and John Hunt, worldwide creative director of TBWA, who will lead the film, press and outdoor jurists.

The 52nd International Advertising Festival will take place June 19-25, 2005, in Cannes, France.
