Digitas has made strides into the hospitality and retail niches, adding assignments from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and Kingfisher, the parent company of department and specialty stores.

Budgets were not disclosed; combined spending for the two clients is believed to be in the eight-figures.

Digitas’ global e-commerce work for Starwood will likely encompass all of the White Plains, N.Y., company’s properties, including the St. Regis, Luxury Collection, Sheraton, Westin, Four Points and W brands. Starwood spent $111 million on ads last year; its lead agency is DDB Worldwide’s New York office.

Digitas’ London outpost was tapped by Kingfisher to fashion online marketing initiatives for its Superdrug, Woolworth’s, B&Q and MVC chains.
