NEW YORK Case Pipher Media Associates said it has opened for business with offices here and in Stamford, Conn.
The company is owned by George Case and Joe Pipher, who serve as president and vice president, respectively.
The partners said they envision the start-up as a "special forces team" for media professionals, entrepreneurs and investors, and they intend to focus on providing consulting, communications, marketing and production services. Their goal is to help clients bring new products and services to market and get film/TV projects off the ground.
Case, 58, has 30 years experience in the broadcast TV industry, including a recent stint as a vp at Fox, where he helped build the network's global infrastructure. He has also been a consultant to CNN, Disney and Paramount and is a past owner of Times Square Studios, which produced pilots and other projects.
Pipher, 56, has worked primarily as a writer, director and producer, and he has credits on numerous Sesame Street specials.
Their new venture launches with five employees and clients such as Delamere Adventuring, the New York School of Dentistry and the Caribbean Television Network.
