CHICAGO-Nineteen St. Louis-area agencies have responded to a request for proposals from the Greater St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission.
The commission spends about $1.3 million annually to tout the allure of the Gateway City and environs, said Mary Hendron, associate director of public relations for the commission.
The account had been with TBWA Chiat/Day's St. Louis office, which closed in December.
Selected shops will be asked to give formal presentations, and a decision is expected at the end of March, Hendron said. The winning agency will produce TV and print ads for the commission, which works to attract both tourism and conventions to the area.
