ATLANTA St. John & Partners has hired former Arby’s executive Robert Springer as vice president and media director, the agency said.

Springer, 58, spent the last six years as vice president of media services at Arby’s in Atlanta, where he was responsible for a $90 million media planning and buying budget. He also developed several computer programs that Arby’s various advertising agencies use to report planning and media buying effectiveness.

Prior to working at Arby’s, Springer spent 16 years in marketing at RJR/Nabisco, where he supervised advertising and promotion effectiveness and helped develop the company’s television advertising.
