LOS ANGELES–Ground Zero creative partner Kirk Souder is leaving the shop he helped found after more than seven years.

Souder’s decision to abandon agency life stems from his desire to spend more time with his family, said Ground Zero creative partner Court Crandall.

Souder, who is on vacation this week, could not immediately be reached. He is expected to remain with the Marina del Rey, Calif. agency until mid-late August.

“Court and myself are terribly sad to be losing the best partner either one of us could have had,” said agency chairman Jim Smith.
