$5 Mil. Account Is Largest at Atlanta Shop
ATLANTA--Turner Fernandez Turner has been named the first agency of record for Simpata, an online human resources and benefits applications service provider.
There was no review for an account valued at more than $5 million. The Alameda, Calif., company becomes the Atlanta agency's largest client.
"We were doing project work for them and [vice president of marketing] Chuck [Moxley] kept telling us the company was demanding there be a review . . . When they saw all our work, they ended up giving us the account," said agency chief executive officer Jamie Turner.
TFT has developed a logo and a theme for its first campaign, "Bring it all together." Broadcast and print creative will roll out in early February, starting in San Francisco and Los Angeles, followed by 10 other markets in March. A national breakout is set for early in the second quarter. TFT is also handling media, research and Web site content.
Moxley said he and Turner have a 10-year relationship, going back to the former's days at Earl Palmer Brown in Atlanta.
"He was my very first client, back in the old days when I literally had my upstairs bedroom, a Mac, and a dot-matrix printer," Turner said. "He used to tell me to fax him stuff. I'd stress customer service and bring it to him. I didn't have a fax machine yet."
Simpata, privately held and financed by Intel and other venture capital firms, provides electronic transmission of enrollment, eligibility and billing information to insurance and financial services.
