LOS ANGELES Interpublic Group’s Suissa Miller has laid off five employees, or less than 6 percent of its staff, sources said.

The cuts, which occurred last Friday, affected the creative, production and traffic departments at the Los Angeles shop, said sources. The shop now has roughly 80 employees, sources said.

Agency officials declined to comment.

Sources attributed the layoffs to a cut in spending from existing clients and pressure from IPG to meet profit targets.

Earlier this year, Suissa Miller laid off eight-nine employees.
