BOSTON The Jamaica Tourist Board has selected Ruder Finn as its public relations agency of record.

The independent New York-based firm bested Omnicom Group’s Porter Novelli and Ketchum, and WPP Group’s Hill & Knowlton in the review.

Ruder Finn won a two-year contract, which began Oct. 1 and is worth an estimated $1 million per year.

“Ruder Finn’s program was the overwhelming choice of the 18-member selection committee,” said Paul Pennicook, director of tourism at the Jamaica Tourist Board in Kingston, Jamaica.
