Independent advertsing and marketing agency R&R Partners has hired Vanessa Harmatz Maniago as director of brand development, a position in which she will focus on both new business efforts and existing clients. Before coming to Las Vegas-based R&R, Maniago spent nearly a decade in New York, where she most recently was senior partner, management supervisor at WPP Group's Ogilvy and Mather. While there, Maniago oversaw general market advertising on the National Youth Anti-Drug campaign. She also developed literacy and summer reading ad efforts for the New York Public Library. Prior to Ogilvy, Maniago spent four years at Messner Vetere McNamee Schmetterer/Euro RSCG. She has been published in Social Marketing Quarterly and is quoted extensively in Joe Duffy's recent book, A Brand Apart.
