Interactive software publisher Activision has narrowed the list of contenders to four finalists for its estimated $4-5 million account.
The Southern California agencies are: dGWB, Irvine; Colby Effler & Partners and Tool, both in Santa Monica; and one undisclosed shop, according to Mike Agate, president of Select Resources International, the Los Angeles consultancy conducting the review.
Rubin Postaer and Associates, Santa Monica, resigned the Brentwood, Calif.-based client's business late last year. "It just wasn't a good fit," said Agate, who conducted a previous review for the client early last year.
Shops will give creative presentations in the next couple of weeks, according to sources. The review may not be for the entire account, but for a project that could lead to the whole business, sources said.
