Rooney Joins O&M

Veteran marketer Jack Rooney will head up BP Amoco’s retail business out of Ogilvy & Mather here, where about 10 other staffers will be assigned to the $200 million account.
Rooney this week joins the agency as senior partner and executive group director after a brief stint at online art dealer Guild.com that followed two years as vice president of marketing at Miller Brewing.
Coming to Chicago to run BP Amoco’s creative is Joe Kilgore, formerly a senior partner and executive creative director at O&M’s Houston office.
That operation was shuttered when its cornerstone Shell Oil Co.
