NEW YORK Andrew Deitchman, who was director of business development at WPP Group’s Red Cell in London, is leaving the agency, the shop confirmed.

Deitchman, 34, an American whose father worked at Ogilvy & Mather some years ago, will return to New York to open an office for independent London boutique Mother, sources said.

Executives at Mother in London declined to comment on Deitchman or whether they were opening a New York office. Deitchman could not immediately be reached for comment.
