Even with the US Open just around the corner, you won’t hear “Table Tennis”—a humorous radio script that features a dialogue between sports commentators on a table-tennis match—on the air.

That’s because the script, written for The Sporting News by copywriters Scott Kaplan of DeVito/Verdi, New York, and Chris Turner (a former DeVito/Verdi staffer) of Ogilvy & Mather, Chicago, was never produced.

But the story doesn’t end there. “Table Tennis” was this year’s winner in Oink Ink Radio’s Dead Radio competition.
