DALLAS Omnicom Group's Rapp Collins has shifted several of its most senior managers, with Gary Von Kennel moving up to the new position of global chief executive officer, the direct-marketing agency said.

In his new role, Von Kennel, 58, will oversee Rapp Collins' global network of 60 offices in 30 countries.

Von Kennel had been chairman and CEO of Rapp Collins North America. Robert Horvath, 45, who had been the company's North American president, succeeds him.

Michael Sugzda, 51, previously senior vice president and director of client services at WPP Group agency Wunderman in New York, takes over for Horvath, the agency said.

"With Gary in a [worldwide] leadership position, Rapp Collins is armed to provide global clients with the agency partnership they need to drive their businesses forward in all major markets," said Thomas Harrison, chairman and CEO of the Diversified Agency Services unit of Omnicom.

Sugzda is tasked in part with driving revenue growth through business development, the agency said. Before Wunderman, he served as a senior executive at agencies such as Bates Direct, Chapman Direct and McCaffrey and McCall.
