West Coast shops will be the focus of an agency search by Pressplay, an online music-subscription service that is a joint venture between Sony Music Entertainment and Universal Music Group. Effective Marketing Strategies is overseeing the search. The client, which has offices in New York and Los Angeles, said it wants a shop to create a test-marketing program. Based on the results of that, spending could be $5 million, sources said.
