NEW YORK Omnicom Group ‘s PHD has closed its St. Louis office, the agency has confirmed. The outpost shut its doors for good on Aug. 31, having announced the decision internally about six weeks earlier.

Earlier this year, the office lost longtime client Energizer Holdings (it handled the $70 million buying account for the battery division), but an agency representative said that no single event led to the decision. It was simply a matter of “business efficiency,” the rep said.
